Investing in the Future of Pendleton...
In 1901, with strong support from community leaders, Mother Stanislaus spearheaded an effort to build the first hospital in Pendleton to meet the growing health care needs of this community. Over the last century, St. Anthony Hospital has continued to grow and expand. The community now needs a modern, new hospital to provide state-of-the-art health care for the next 50 years. In support of this new hospital, St. Anthony Hospital Foundation launched a capital campaign in 2011 to raise at least $1.2 million. The goal was to offset the cost of building and equipping the new replacement hospital.
Under the leadership of Steve and Susan Corey, campaign co-chairs, an outstanding group of campaign volunteers have worked hard to help make this campaign a success.
We are deeply grateful to Mike and Cindy Warn, who gave the largest cash gift ever received by the foundation; to the Pendleton Foundation Trust for a $100,000 grant; as well as to the following businesses and organizations for their commitments:
- Cunningham Sheep
- Graybeal Distributing
- Sellen Construction
- Columbia Bank
- Clarke A. Nelson Family
- Wildhorse Foundation
- Tim Fetzer Charity Fund
- Lifeways, Inc.
- Layton Edith Roehlk and Donna Belle Mann Charitable Trust
- Pendleton Rotary Club
- Pendleton Round-Up Association
We are very gratified by the support from our many donors, both individual and corporate. To date, we have exceeded our initial campaign goal to help support the building and equipping of our new St. Anthony Hospital. There are still more opportunities to support the new St. Anthony Hospital by giving a gift to help enhance the healing environment of the new hospital or to acquire needed new medical and surgical equipment. If you are interested in giving your support to our new hospital, please contact the foundation office at 541.278.6618.
